The Retail Units are where the integration of the everyday takes place, it is the space where co-locality is created. Geometrically designed to enhance the experience for the user and create unique, individual retail units for the range of locally sourced traders that occupy the site. The traders are from around Hulme, bringing iconic stores such as Hulme community garden centre and Tea time collective to one place to allow for the development of relationships between traders. Aiming to use ethically sourced and sustainable materials the structure of the units uses prefabricated CLT panels and a Scottish larch cladding.
